  1. Thursday is Produce Giveaway Day at Moorpark First Five, and registration for next month's classes is Aug. 27. Classes are free and open to all children under 5. The First Five/Neighborhood for Learning is at 61 E. High St.
  2. Schools in the Moorpark Unified School District start back up Aug. 29. If your child is new to the district and still needs to register, information is available on the district website. Check the left-side column under the red heading.
  3. The Moorpark bus schedule will be changing Aug. 27. Visit the city website for the new schedule and Moorpark City Transit Ride Guide.
  4. The lowest cost of gas in Moorpark, according to GasBuddy.com, is holding at $4.07 per gallon. Find it at the 76 station at 13800 Princeton Ave. and the Alliance station at 50 W. Los Angeles Ave.
