Moorpark’s Relay for Life Random Acts of Kindness team is creating a luminaria tribute book that will include photos and short tributes of those  we love and want to honor, in memory of the people we have lost, in honor of those who are fighting cancer and in celebration of our survivors.

(Note: Relay for Life participants remember loved ones lost to cancer and honor those battling the disease by transforming plain white bags into illuminated, decorated and personalized luminarias.)

Our hope is to create a beautiful little booklet that shares our stories, the reason we participate in Relay and that gives everyone the occasion to put a face with the names being read during the luminary ceremony.

If you would like to be part of our first edition Random Acts of Kindness Luminary Tribute Book, we would feel privileged. Because we are so close to the event, our deadline will be April 24.

Originally this was a personal tribute to the father of one of our team members, but we think it is much bigger than that and would love to share this with everyone. We all have our own stories about why we Relay.
