Sign-ups Underway for Simi Valley YMCA Winter Youth Flag Football League

Sign-ups are under way for the Simi Valley Family YMCA's co-ed youth winter flag football league. The season runs from January 22 through April 2.

Teams are formed based on age—ages 5 to 7, 8 to 10 and 11 to 13. No tryouts are necessary and everyone participates. The focus of the league is for participants to learn the fundamentals of the game and how to be a team player—all while having fun, competing and making new friends.

Practices take place on Wednesday evenings with games on Sunday afternoons. Practices and games are held at the Simi YMCA (3200 Cochran Street, Simi Valley).

All participants receive a uniform and an end-of-season trophy. The cost is $105 (YMCA members) and $115 (program members).

The YMCA is also looking for volunteer coaches.
