Cruise Nights in Camarillo: This fun, free event every 4th Friday of the month is for the entire family. Starting at 5 p.m., there's something for everyone with 200+ classic cars on display, live music, stores and eateries to visit in Old Town Camarillo. Call 805.443.9219 for more information.
“Thumbelina” in Ventura: The story of tiny Thumbelina, told with shadow puppets, music of the 1960s and ’70s and art nouveau scenic design will be presented at 7 p.m. in the Museum of Ventura County’s Martin V. and Martha K. Smith Pavilion.

The performance is for adults and children ages 4 and older. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for children and includes admission to museum galleries before the performance. Cajun and Blues Music Festival in Simi Valley: The 23rd annual staging of this event will feature Cajun, Creole and Zydeco music provided by bands from around the county. In addition, there will be authentic Cajun and Creole food available from a variety of food vendors.
Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. both days. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for kids 5 to 12 and free for kids under 5. Rides and events in the kids area are no additional cost! "Elmo Makes Music" in Thousand Oaks: Head to the Civic Arts Plaza's Kavli Theatre for a musical event like no other! Elmo and friends will take center stage to share their love of music. Come early and play before the show in Sesame Street's Play Zone.
