My name is Clint Blakely and I’m a product of Mountain View High School's performing arts departments, where I fell in love with music singing with the Madrigals. I hold a BA in Jazz Voice from USC's Thornton School of Music. I've played &amp; sung music around the world – Los Angeles bars &amp; clubs, Amsterdam concert halls, Rio de Janeiro churches... I love teaching lessons over Zoom! For the past 5 years, I’ve taught students all over the world whose ages range from 4 years old to 60+. My students have a wide variety of skill levels, from complete beginners to 10+ years of prior study. In my lessons, I combine technical instruction and creative exercises within a fun, encouraging atmosphere. An elderly man suffered major injuries when a car struck him in Mountain View this afternoon, according to police. The collision was reported at 12:08 p.m. at El Camino Real and Dale Avenue. The pedestrian, an 85-year-old Mountain View man, was struck by a gray sedan and was taken to a hospital with injuries that are considered major but not life-threatening, police spokeswoman Officer Shino Tanaka said. The sedan's driver, a 40-year-old Fremont man, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the collision, Tanaka said. The intersection had reopened to traffic as of shortly before 1 p.m., according to police. Anyone who witnessed the collision is encouraged to call Traffic Sgt. Saul Jaeger at (650) 903-6344 and reference case 15-4060.--Bay City News
