
Festivities begin with a children's reading presentation in the Mountain View Public Library followed by a tree planting ceremony at 11:00am. Activites such as free children's arts and crafts and complimentary hot dogs and drinks continue throughout the day.
Various public agencies and volunteer environmental groups will have information booths set up, allowing attendees to learn more about trees, composting, and more. There will also be resources to recycle old medications. A tree climbing demonstration will be held by the city's Forestry Division. Live music by OTR, a 1960s cover band, will accompany the day's activities.
