Easter Egg Hunt

This Easter, children are in for a surprise at the Mountain View Certified Farmers’ Market. The Easter Egg Hunt will lead children through the farmers’ market to find coupons hidden in eggs for delicious, farm fresh produce prizes at friendly farmers’ stalls.

“This year we are focusing on connecting kids with
their local food producers through an interactive Easter Egg Hunt” said Moti Phillips, Promotions Manager for the California Farmers' Markets Association. “Searching for Easter eggs in the market stalls gives young participants a
chance to really engage with the people who grow their fruits and vegetables.”

The Easter Egg Hunt begins at the information booth
at 11am and will end at 12pm. Every child is encouraged to search the farmers’ market for Easter eggs with coupons, and will receive additional farmers’ market prizes at the information booth.

Aligning with Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move initiative, the Mountain View Certified Farmers’ Market is working towards the goal of promoting healthy eating and exercise choices to American families through education and access to fresh, affordable produce. The Easter event is a fun way to get your family motivated to eat healthy and be active while interacting with the community!

Mountain View’s year-round farmers’ market is held
every Sunday, from 9am to 1pm in the Caltrain station parking lot at West Evelyn Avenue and Hope Street. Family farmers bring local produce and heirloom variety fruits and vegetables that they grow themselves. Specialties of the
season include super sweet strawberries from Watsonville, navel oranges and orange juice, asparagus, organic and Asian vegetables, hot house tomatoes, baked breads, eggs, ocean fresh fish, grass fed beef, and more direct from California certified growers and producers.

The Farmers’ Market has provided the local residents
and farming community an opportunity to celebrate healthy food and has been a staple in the community for 16 years.

The Mountain View Farmers’ Market is hosted by the
city of Mountain View and operated by California Farmers’ Markets Association. The farmers’ market is a location approved by the County Agricultural Commissioner where farmers offer for sale only those fruits and vegetables they
grow themselves. See our website for more information at www.CAFarmersMkts.com
