KMVT Takes Home 3 WAVE Awards
Producers Mel Van Dusen, Jim Twu and Andrew Willyoung among evening's winners.

At the annual Alliance for Community Media Western Region WAVE awards this past Saturday, Mountain View-based KMVT 15 was recognized for its contributions to local television broadcasting.
Three shows: "What the !@#$? (WTF)," by producer Jim Twu, "What's Up Wit' That? Autism in the Classroom" by Andrew Willyoung and Mel Van Dusen's "Fakir" took home the top prize in their categories—magazine, educational access and inspirational/religious programming.
The winners were announced at the Camera 3 Cinema in San Jose, Oct. 8.

Other KMVT nominees included, "Fakir" in the lifestyle, special audience and entertainment categories; "What's Up Wit' That? Go-Go Dancing" for entertainment/variety programming; and "Interview with Rock & Roll Nuns" in the entertainment category.
