Mountain View Bank Robbery Suspect Found Just Blocks Away
Mountain View police quickly arrested a bank robbery suspect on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

MOUNTAIN VIEW - Mountain View police quickly arrested a bank robbery suspect on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The robbery was reported at 4:13 p.m. at the Bank of the West at 501 Castro St.
A suspect walked into the bank and demanded cash from a teller. Police didn't specify whether he had a weapon.

He left by the time police arrived, but bank employees provided a detailed description of him and officers found him walking a few blocks away near View Street and Fairmont Avenue.
The officers found the money in his backpack and arrested him.

He was identified as 53-year-old Timothy Walker.
Walker was booked into Santa Clara County jail without bail on suspicion of robbery, police said.
