• Mountain View Whisman takes stance against ICE facility in south Santa Clara County (mv-voice.com) — Mountain View Whisman School District has formally joined the city of Mountain View in opposing a proposed ICE detention facility in Gilroy, citing student and family fears about immigration enforcement. In a 4-1 vote, trustees backed a resolution arguing the regional facility could still directly affect local children, while one board member objected that it was outside the district's jurisdiction.
