3 Vehicles Collide In I-15 Hit-And-Run With Injuries Near Murrieta

Three vehicles heading northbound on I-215 at 10:30 a.m. Monday collided. A good Samaritan stepped in to lend a hand with the injured.

MURRIETA, CA — Officials reported three vehicles heading northbound on the Temecula Valley Freeway (I-15) in the Murrieta/Wildomar area collided Monday morning, injuring at least two people.

At 10:30 a.m. a gray Toyota Camry, a semi-truck hauling a trailer and a third unidentified vehicle all heading northbound on the 215 collided, California Highway Patrol officers reported. The crash left the sedan in the center divider and the semi-truck on the opposite side of the freeway. The third vehicle, possibly a dark-colored smaller Honda, did not remain at the scene, according to reports.

Murrieta Fire Department firefighters rushed to the scene of the hit-and-run injury crash to aid in helping victims.

CHP records show that a good Samaritan took two people to a nearby hospital, one of the victims possibly a police officer, though no other information was immediately available. Two other people inside the Toyota were not injured, CHP reported. The condition of the semi-truck driver was not released.
