Author David Horowitz Speaking at Republican Event in Temecula

The annual President Ronald Reagan Lecture is sponsored by the Valley's Republican Women (TVRWF)

Best-selling author and Emmy-award winning journalist David Horowitz will deliver the President Ronald Reagan Lecture on Sunday, September 21, at South Coast Winery, at 3:00 p.m.

The annual Reagan Lecture is sponsored by the Valley’s Republican Women (TVRWF) and it honors the legacy of freedom in our country. Proceeds from the event will benefit 4Paws4Patriots and the Wounded Warrior Project as well as supporting scholarships for local high school seniors.

Horowitz is the founder and president of the David Horowitz Freedom Center and editor of FrontPage magazine. Horowitz founded Students for Academic Freedom, whose goal is combatting what he calls the “leftist indoctrination” in academia.

Horowitz’s latest book – Take No Prisoners: The Battle for Defeating the Left – was published in July of this year and has received extensive praise for its political insight and toughness.

“It is an honor to name David Horowitz as the President Reagan Lecturer for 2014. He is a seasoned veteran of the culture wars and his voice rings clear in support of freedom in America,” said TVRWF president Jackie Raspler. She said that Horowitz is a staple on numerous television programs including NBC’s Today show, ABC’s Good Morning America, Fox News Channel, and MSNBC.

Doors will open at South Coast Winery at 2:30 p.m. and wine country hors d’oeuvres will be provided along with a cash bar. Copies of Take No Prisoners will be available for sale following the Lecture and Horowitz will autograph copies of his latest book.

There will also be a raffle and silent auction. Auction items include a week at the upscale Gas Lamp Plaza Suites in San Diego, lodging at the Villas at South Coast Winery, and signed original Western art work. Additionally, private lunches have been arranged with U.S Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA), U.S. Congressman Ken Calvert (R-CA) and state Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez (R-CA).
