MURRIETA, CA —Murrieta students and families are prepping for back-to-school, with classes beginning Aug. 9.

The Murrieta Valley Unified School District calendar is now available to help parents prepare for the school year and plan for upcoming events and holidays into 2024.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year.

  • First Day: Aug. 9
  • Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 20-Nov. 24
  • Winter Break: Dec. 18 - Jan. 5
  • Spring Break: Apr. 1 - Apr. 5
  • Last Day: May 31
