Car Crashes Into Murrieta Mattress Store

MURRIETA, CA — One person was hospitalized on Monday after crashing into a Murrieta business. The man drove the Honda Accord into the Mattress Firm store, located in the 39000 block of Avenida Acacias near Los Alamos and Whitewood roads, around 7:30 a.m.

Firefighters and police responded to the scene to find the man had pulled himself free from the wreckage, which was surrounded by several mattresses that had been hit.

Officials had to cut the hole in the side of the building a bit larger, so as to removed the sedan so it could be towed away.

City inspectors were at the scene following the wreck to assess the damage.
