Coroner ID's Woman Killed In Murrieta Single Car Crash

MURRIETA, CA — A 33-year-old Winchester woman died Sunday after crashing her car at the intersection of Clinton Keith Road and Menifee Road, according to the Coroner's Bureau of the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.

Christina Gibson was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner's report. The Murrieta Police Department was still investigating the cause of the crash as of Monday afternoon.

Just after 11 a.m., Murrieta Fire and Rescue personnel arrived at the scene where a car traveling eastbound on Clinton Keith Road struck a metal traffic signal and burst into flame, according to the City of Murrieta Police Department's preliminary reports.

During the incident, the eastbound lanes of Clinton Keith Road at Menifee Road were closed until about 5 p.m., according to the city.
