Teens in grades 6 to 12 are invited to The Hunger Games Challenge; a program of trivia questions, crossword puzzles and a Cornucopia Game, all based on The Hunger Games book by Suzanne Collins. The program “arena” will be the Murrieta Public Library’s Community Room and the “Challenge” will take place on Saturday, March 17 at 2 p.m.
“Over the past year, this book has grown in popularity with teenage as well as adult readers,” said Teen Librarian Joyce Lea Brown. “Friends tell friends about this book and requests for it just keep growing. It’s an intense book and right at the top of what teens want to read now! The question for the participants is: can they survive challenging The Hunger Games trivia questions? Teens can snack on survival foods while they participate in individual and team activities, and a Cornucopia Game that will test their memory and survival skills. Who will be the last teen and team standing?”
This event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Friends of the Murrieta Library. The Murrieta Public Library is located at Eight Town Square (Adams Avenue and Kalmia Street). For more information about the program call (951) 304-BOOK (2665) or visit the Library’s web site at www.murrietalibrary.info.
