Fire Sends Smoke Into Murrieta, Temecula Valleys
Fire officials are warning residents to be aware of a fire burning nearby.

MURRIETA, CA — A fire burning on nearby Camp Pendleton was sending a wave of smoke into the Murrieta and Temecula areas on Thursday afternoon, fire officials report.
"Drift Smoke is present in the Murrieta area," Murrieta Fire & Rescue officials said on Facebook. "There is no fire in the City of Murrieta at this time. The smoke is from a fire burning at Camp Pendleton. Please DO NOT call 911 unless you have a life/property threatening emergency."
Cal Fire logs show no active incidents in Southwest Riverside County.
