Vegetation Fire Breaks Out At Camp Pendleton
Smoke is visible in North San Diego County and southwest Riverside County.

CAMP PENDLETON, CA – A small vegetation fire broke out Thursday on Camp Pendleton, sending smoke into North San Diego County and southwest Riverside County, officials said.
The fire sparked on one of the training ranges in the center of the base, according to Camp Pendleton officials. Residual smoke was blowing north-east.
Murrieta Fire & Rescue officials warned residents to be aware of a fire burning nearby.

"Drift smoke is present in the Murrieta area," Murrieta Fire & Rescue officials said on social media. "There is no fire in the City of Murrieta at this time. The smoke is from a fire burning at Camp Pendleton."
A small vegetation fire occurred on one of the training ranges in the center of the base this afternoon. Some residual smoke is blowing NE and may be visible the remainder of the day.
