Happening Tuesday: Aldi Job Fair for 150+ Positions in RivCo

The newest grocer in town is again hosting a hiring event in Riverside County, as they look to fill some 150 store associate positions, Patch is told.

According to company representatives, there will be two hiring events on Dec. 1; one in Palm Desert, the other in downtown Riverside. The main event in Riverside is to hire for stores that are coming to Beaumont, Fontana, Highland, La Quinta, Lake Elsinore, Moreno Valley, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Redlands and Yucaipa. The Coachella Valley event focuses on only those stores in La Quinta, Palm Desert and Palm Springs.

The one in Riverside will be held at the Marriott’s convention center, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. That’s located at 3637 Fifth Street. The Palm Desert event will run concurrently, at the Embassy Suites at 74-700 Highway 111.

Aldi says those ultimately hired to be store associates can expect to earn $13 an hour, and up to $21 an hour with tenure.

Here are the job requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be available to work anytime between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday -Sunday
• Retail experience preferred
• Drug screening and background check
• Ability to lift 45 pounds

ALDI is planning on opening approximately 25 Southern California stores between March and July 2016, and operating approximately 45 stores by the end of 2016.
