Man Killed, Woman Seriously Injured In Murrieta Motorcycle Crash

The crash was reported on Murrieta Hot Springs Road, near Jackson Avenue.

MURRIETA, CA — A man was killed and a woman seriously injured in a late-night motorcycle crash on Murrieta Hot Springs Road, police announced Friday.

According to the Murrieta Police Department, its dispatch center received a call Tuesday at 10:18 p.m. about the crash near Jackson Avenue.

When first responders arrived on scene, they found a 38-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman lying on the concrete median, about 470 feet east of Jackson Avenue, Murrieta police said.

The crashed motorcycle was nearby.

Both people were rushed to a nearby hospital, where the man died from his injuries. His identity has not been released by officials.

The woman "is continuing to receive treatment for her serious injuries," Murrieta police said.

Murrieta police are still investigating the solo-vehicle crash to determine the cause and whether alcohol or drugs played a factor.
