Murrieta Chamber of Commerce Recognizes April Students of the Month
Congrats to these hard-working local students!

MURRIETA, CA – On April 20, 2017, the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce High School Student of the Month Program was held and the students shown in the attached photo were recognized. Murrieta Mesa High School Senior Kahlo Chitraroff is a strong student who carries 4.1 GPA. Chitraroff is involved in his school as President of Rooted in Christ, Secretary of Cal HOSA, a member of Student Venture, National Honor Society and the California Scholarship Federation. He was on the cross-country team for three years and the mountain bike team four years, serving as team captain this year. Chitraroff will attend Colorado Mesa University on an athletic scholarship and he plans to become a nurse practitioner and physician’s assistant. After taking two mission trips to Nicaragua, Chitraroff was inspired to help people living in poverty and his goal is to become a medical missionary in third world countries.
Vista Murrieta High School Senior Kathleen Navarro is an outstanding student who maintains a 4.39 GPA while taking 16 Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment classes. She is on the varsity golf team and was in the wind ensemble and advanced concert band. Kathleen is Vice President of CSF and a member of National Honor Society and Interact Club. Kathleen is a person who truly cares for others and she is known for being kind and humble. Kathleen loves science and she plans to attend the University of California Irvine or UC San Diego and major in biochemistry and biology. She plans to become a physician and she looks forward to going on medical mission trips to third world countries.

Murrieta Valley High School Senior Annabelle Zeller was in Kentucky competing with the Robotics team at the VEX World Championships on the day of the Student of the Month breakfast. In addition to being an influential member of the Robotics team who helped her team qualify for the World Championships, Zeller is a member of her school’s Virtual Enterprise program. She is also a member of Link Crew, Student Senate and Yearbook and she volunteers at the public library. Zeller successfully balances her academics with her many extra-curricular endeavors while maintaining a 3.4 GPA. Zeller is a leader who gives 110% and she is committed to serving and making her school a better place. Zeller has already enlisted to go in the Navy after graduation in June and she will be an information systems technician.
Calvary Christian High School Senior Rachel Dick is active in church and school and she is known for being intuitive, kind, helpful and humble. Rachel is co-enrolled in classes at MSJC and after she completes her general education requirements, she hopes to transfer to Point Loma University to get a degree in business. Rachel plans to continue to serve her community by working with the homeless and after college she would like to work in a non-profit charitable or missions organization. Rachel said after losing a friend in 2014, her faith carried her through and she realized the importance of taking advantage of every day and the opportunities presented to her.

Springs Charter School Senior Kaitlin Kight has been dual enrolled in the independent study program at her school and in college. In addition, she has worked 25 hours a week and done an internship at an elementary school. Kight has a huge heart and she makes juggling all of her commitments look easy. Kight is a hard worker who takes risks and pushes herself outside of her comfort zone. During her internship, interacting with the students inspired her to pursue a career in education. She plans to attend Cal State San Marcos.
When Oak Grove Schools Senior Amy Dominguez came to Oak Grove, she was quiet and unsure of herself after having been bullied. While at Oak Grove, Amy blossomed and found her voice and vision. Amy has learned the joy of giving back. She is very involved in the Interact Club, ASB, dance and choir and she works at Temecula Olive Oil Company. Amy is a leader in the classroom; she helps her peers and the younger students who struggle. The other students look up to her and they respect her advice.
