When the deferral period ends June 30, business license fees will be due and payable but without penalties or interest.

MURRIETA, CA — To support local businesses as they navigate the impact of coronavirus, the city of Murrieta is deferring business-license renewal fees through June 30, 2020, it was announced Wednesday.
Many local businesses are struggling with closures or changes in day-to-day operations, said Scott Agajanian, deputy director for Development Services for the city.
“With an ever-changing landscape of local, state and federal government support for business, we’re monitoring gaps, opportunities and mandates as we work together to help Murrieta business through these challenging times," Agajanian said. "We know our businesses are hurting, and we are in this together.”
When the deferral period ends, business license fees will be due and payable without penalties or interest, according to the city.
