Murrieta Firefighters Association's Hilltop Festival Planned Nov. 4

MURRIETA, CA — Murrieta Firefighters Association announces the 3rd Annual Murrieta Hilltop Festival planned from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4. in Murrieta. The festival will include Local Breweries, Wineries, food from Pete's Firehouse BBQ and New Life Culinary Creations.

This year will feature performances by LA cover band Wayward Sons, playing their nostalgic-fueled, power-chord-packed rock show featuring the greatest songs of the '80s.

Local favorite Nate Penland will kick off the event.

"We will also be announcing the recipient of the Dean Hale Spirit Award," a spokesperson for the event said. "This award will be presented to an MFA member who displays the characteristics of Firefighter Dean Hale. A person who always put others first and did what was best for the whole organization. The unselfish acts of Firefighter Hale will forever live in the hearts of the association."

The MFA Benevolent Fund is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that supports firefighters and their families in times of tragedy. While firefighters save lives, it is often done with sacrifice.

Firefighters will rarely ask for help or draw attention to personal suffering. In these times the Murrieta Firefighters Benevolent Fund will assist with their needs, according to the group.

According to the website for the event, this year's entrée will be provided by New Life Culinary Creations. Enjoy Tuscan chicken pasta with spinach, sundried tomato, cream, parmesan, penne. Garden salad, fresh baked artisan dinner rolls and butter. Meals are included in the VIP table package, general admissions entrée ticket are sold onsite.

Pete's Firehouse BBQ will provide appetizers, included in the VIP table package and sold during the event.

Local Wineries, Craft Breweries, Spiked Seltzer and Hard Komboocha booths will be for sale for those of drinking age, including:
