New Murrieta Costco: Road Construction Will Bring In Shoppers
A $2.6M contract to build the new four-lanes-wide Warm Springs Parkway, across from Vista Murrieta High School, is set to be awarded.

MURRIETA, CA — The City of Murrieta is set to award a contract for construction of the new Warm Springs Parkway off Clinton Keith Road, near Interstate 215, that will provide access to a new Costco warehouse and retail stores across from Vista Murrieta High School.
On Tuesday night, the Murrieta City Council is poised to give GMC Engineering Inc. the construction contract. The Tustin-based company bid the job at $2,646,646.41 — the lowest of six bids received by the city, according to city documents. The total project cost is $3,043,643.37, which includes a 15 percent project contingency.
The Warm Springs Parkway North project is needed for access to the Vineyard Freeway Center that will contain Costco and other retail tenants. The road construction will consist of approximately 665 linear feet of street improvements on Warm Springs Parkway, as well as paving improvements on Clinton Keith Road. Warm Springs Parkway will be a 76-foot-wide, curb-to-curb, four-lane major roadway.
