• Murrieta Council Joins With Temecula In Opposition Of Golden Pacific Powerlink Proposed Route (patch.com) — Murrieta residents are seeing their city step into a regional fight over SDG&E's proposed Golden Pacific Powerlink, with council members formally opposing the current Segment 4 route through nearby Temecula. City leaders argue the massive 500-kilovolt line could harm shared transportation routes, wildfire evacuations, views, and economic activity, and are urging SDG&E to choose a less developed corridor while promising continued scrutiny as the project advances.
   

• Murrieta Exploring Major Expansion Of Its Boundaries, Part Of French Valley Eyed (patch.com) — Murrieta is taking a hard look at expanding its city limits to include up to 3,884 acres of nearby unincorporated land, including the large Spencer's Crossing neighborhood in French Valley.
