Police Find No Credible Threat At Murrieta Valley High School
Police received numerous calls from concerned parents and staff about the alleged threat.

MURRIETA, CA — The Murrieta Police Department said Thursday that an alleged threat of violence at Murrieta Valley High School was not credible.
The undisclosed "threat" targeted an unnamed campus event scheduled Thursday, but police announced early morning that the threat was unfounded.
"Officers are investigating the claims which seem to have been spread through social media but have found NO credible threat to the school or students," the Murrieta Police Department shared on its Facebook page.

According to the department, police received numerous calls from concerned parents and staff about the alleged threat.
Classes were scheduled to continue as planned Thursday and Murrieta police were posted on the campus as a precautionary measure.

There was no word on what started the scare nor whether any arrests were made.
