MENIFEE, CA — An investigation was under way Tuesday into a fight involving three 14-year-old boys at Paloma Valley High School in Menifee.

The fight occurred about 12:30 p.m. Monday, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Deputy Mike Vasquez.

A teacher was escorting one of the boys to administrative offices for a disciplinary issue when they were confronted by the two other boys, and a fight broke out, Vasquez said.

No one was injured or arrested, but sheriff's investigators are looking into the matter and arrests and charges have not been ruled out, according to the deputy.

Vasquez was unable to confirm reports that the boys had been suspended. Officials at the Perris Union High School District were not immediately available for comment.

The fight comes after a Sept. 16 attack at Landmark Middle School in Moreno Valley left a 13-year-old boy dead.

Two other 13-year-old boys have been charged in that case with assault likely to produce great bodily injury and voluntary manslaughter.
