True Love Stories In Murrieta: Valentine's 2022
This Valentine's Day, some Murrieta Patch readers share stories of the spark that started it all.

MURRIETA, CA — True love conquers all in Murrieta. We asked Patch readers over Facebook what made them realize they had fallen in love. Readers responded with their love stories from the meet-cutes to the whirl-wind romances that have stood the test of time.
Here are some of our favorite reader stories in 2022:
"When You Know, You Know"
Jaqueline Caro knows all about whirl-wind romances. She met her husband at a club, then three days later, they were inseparable.
"When you know, you know," she wrote on the Murrieta Patch Facebook page. "This year, we will be together 26 years.
Though their love is strong, work and commitments keep them apart during the week. They have gone back and forth for ten years, with two houses: one in the desert and one in the city.
Love finds a way across the miles, she says, adding, "we make it work."
Finding True Love At The Movies
Heidi Reid met her husband while working at Edward's Movie Theaters in San Diego, she wrote.
"[We had] great memories working there and getting to know each other as friends," she said.
They became a couple in 1994 and married in 1999.
To Reid, her husband is her best friend, even after all these years. The pair have lived in Murrieta since 2001.
“We have two beautiful teenagers in high school and love living here," she said.
Cast As A Couple, First Kiss Gets Rave Reviews
Amy Thomas told Patch about her 13-year romance with her husband.
"We met auditioning for the school play, 'Arsenic and Old Lace' our Senior year," she told Patch. "We were paired together and assigned to read for the romantic leads."
When the director cast them as the fiancées, love was definitely in the air.
"We started dating the night before the play opened," she wrote on Facebook. "Our first kiss was on stage, in front of an audience.... we both forgot our lines and basically ruined that performance!"
He proposed with the help of the High School Marching Band and the pair is still together with three boys.
Online Dating Gone Wrong, Then Right!
Stephanie Wharton and her husband met over MySpace in 2007.
They arranged to meet, but after an hour of each waiting and each wondering if the other had stood them up, they went back to the computer message board.
They learned they were both in the wrong place.
A better plan to meet showed this couple was perfectly matched.
"We finally met and have been inseparable ever since," she said.
The pair married in 2015.
No Time To Wait For This Navy Couple
Kristi Hanson met her husband Rod at a Navy bar in 1994.
In just under a month, Rod popped the question and they married just under three months after meeting each other.
"We will celebrate 28 years of marriage this year,” she said.
It just goes to show, on Valentine's Day and everyday, when you know, you know.
