Windblown Dust Advisory Issued In Riverside County
The unhealthy air quality is expected to linger into Saturday, officials said. Take care out there!

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA – Due to strong, offshore winds that led to blowing dust and unhealthy air quality, a "windblown dust and ash advisory" was issued today and is in effect through Saturday afternoon for western portions of Riverside County and the Coachella Valley, according to the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
A National Weather Service wind advisory for the affected areas is in effect until 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29.
Areas expected to be directly hit with the dust and poor air quality may include portions of: Corona/Norco, Metropolitan Riverside County, Perris Valley, Lake Elsinore, Temecula Valley, Anza Valley, Hemet-San Jacinto Valley, San Gorgonio Pass and Coachella Valley, officials said.

Residents are advised to avoid vigorous outdoor or indoor exertion, and those with respiratory or heart disease, along with the elderly and children, should remain indoors, the agency said.
