NAPA, CA — As the BottleRock Festival returns to Napa after a one-year hiatus in 2020, the musical acts that will play in front of sold-out crowds over three days over the upcoming holiday weekend won’t be the only attraction.

Guns N' Roses, Foo Fighters, Miley Cyrus, Megan The Stallion, G-Eazy, Cage The Elephant, Young The Giant, Milky Chance, Finneas, Village People, Jimmy Eat World are just a sample of the artists set to perform at the long-awaited BottleRock Napa Valley music, food and art festivalat the Napa Valley Expo.

But among the unique vendors offering a variety of food and drinks to festival-goers is a tall order of bar that is offering craft cocktails. The Hendrick’s Gin three-story structure is a head-turner to be sure, according to the company’s brand ambassador, Vance Henderson, who said that the libation station is difficult to miss.

"When festival-goers first see the Hendrick’s 3-Story Bar, it's a magical moment of surprise and delight,” Henderson told Patch in an email on Tuesday. “It’s not every day you see a bar of this size — especially at festivals — so there’s an element of curiosity around what we’re doing and serving, but it’s been well received.”

The three-story bar will offer a trio of $17 cocktails all featuring Hendrick’s Gin. The tallest bar on site will be located next to the Williams-Sonoma Culinary stage and will be open from 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Sunday.

Making sure the bar isn’t overlooked among a crowded scene that attracted more than 120,000 visitors in 2019 is all part of the strategy, Henderson said. The tall bar will be part of the scene of a festival that has already been pushed back from May due to an increase of positive coronavirus cases brought on by the delta variant of the virus.

“The height and size of the 3-Story Bar is key to standing out in a venue like the Napa Valley Expo,” Henderson said in the email. “Between the crowds of people and all the stages, it’s easy to blend in, but here at Hendrick’s, we like to stand out and have seen great success in doing the unusual. With our activation, you can look to the sky and see our most unusual libation station.

“We aim to make the 3-Story Bar as much of a spectacle as possible. Aside from serving curiously refreshing craft cocktails, we have performers and giveaways to make stopping by the bar feel like the complete Hendrick’s experience, and even more worthwhile. All these elements have contributed to our success, and it’s wonderful to know that people are excited to see us and stop by.”

Festival visitors will be required to show proof of vaccination to enter the festival or must secure a negative coronavirus test that will be valid throughout the weekend, local health officials said.

Documentation will be checked daily upon entry. A photo of a guest's vaccination card or negative test result saved to their cell phone is sufficient. Face masks are required for all indoor festival spaces including but not limited to The Spa and The Club. Masks are recommended in outdoor festival spaces but not required, per state guidelines.
