Clayton Fire In Lake County Grows To 600 Acres, 15% Containment

LAKE COUNTY, CA – The Clayton Fire, a wildfire that broke out Saturday off Highway and Clayton Creek south of Lower Lake, was recorded at 15 percent containment with 600 acres burned as of Saturday night, according to Cal Fire.
The fire broke out at 6 p.m. Saturday, the agency said.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office announced mandatory evacuations for all residents of Morgan Valley Road to Butte Rock Ranch Road. An evacuation center was set up at Highland Senior Center in Clearlake.
