Felon Busted For Credit Card Fraud, Gun Possession: ACPD
A second suspect is sought for the fraud and for stealing paintball equipment from an American Canyon business, police said.

AMERICAN CANYON, CA — One person was arrested and another is wanted in connection with credit card fraud Sunday at a local business in American Canyon.
A paintball venue on Eucalyptus Drive called the American Canyon Police Department at 3:15 p.m. Sunday and reported that two men paid for a paintballing session with a credit card that was flagged fraudulent.
Officers detained 27-year-old Gregory Morton of Pleasant Hill but his friend, later identified as 28-year-old Cornwyn Duvernay of Colma, ran off, American Canyon police Chief Rick Greenberg said.

A records check revealed Morton was a convicted felon and had pending felony criminal charges out of San Francisco so he was subject to search and seizure, Greenberg said.
Officers located Morton's silver Nissan Altima in the parking lot and found .40-caliber and .45-caliber Glock semi-automatic handguns in a search of the car. Both guns were loaded and not registered, Greenberg said.

Morton was booked into Napa County jail on suspicion of credit card fraud, being a felon in possession of ammunition, and a felon in possession of a firearm — all felonies.
"Duvernay was not located, and ACPD will seek the same charges to be filed on him, along with theft of paintball equipment from the business," Greenberg said.
Morton was released from jail a short time later.
