Historic District Tour Gives Glimpse Into Napa's Past

The annual event put on by Napa County Landmarks is coming up soon. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event or ahead of time online.

NAPA, CA — The Fuller Park Historic District offers a wide array of architectural styles, from Queen Anne to Greek Revival to Prairie.

On Saturday, Sept. 18, local expert and tour guide Tom Kennelly and his wife, Susan Kennelly, will lead Napa County Landmarks' annual walking tour of the historic district.

Attendees will get a glimpse into Napa's past and learn about local Napa architects Luther Turton and William Corlett, as well as the famous Coombs family, who had ties to the area.

The event starts at 10 a.m. at the corner of Jefferson and Oak streets. Tickets are available for purchase on the day of the event or ahead of time online. General admission is $10. For members of Napa County Landmarks, the cost is $5.

The nonprofit organization advocates for the appreciation and preservation of historic buildings, sites and districts through educational programs, public policy, research and technical assistance. In 2019, Napa County Landmarks started a scholarship program for high school seniors to support the next generation of historic preservationists. Ten scholarships of $1,000 are awarded each year.
