Local Wine Will Be In Academy Awards Swag Bags

A bottle of Suisun Valley-based BackRoad Vines will be going home with all the non-winning nominees in the top categories.

BackRoad Vines will help alleviate the disappointment of not winning the Oscar by including one of their premium bottles of wine along with a full wine pairing party at the nominees’ home, in the Academy Awards Nominee gift bag, February 22, 2015.

BackRoad Vines, a newly established Winery in Suisun Valley, hopes to bring some attention to the fabulous wines and wineries of their valley.

Proprietors Jeff and Jody Anselmo, are both natives to Suisun Valley and now winemakers in their own traditional, “Old School Style,” while keeping with their commitment to their ecological responsibilities.

Not only will the wine be enjoyed by the celebs, BackRoad Vines is donating a night to remember. Paired with BackRoads’ philosophy, the recipients will spend an evening with their guests at their own home where they will enjoy a wine and food pairing, BackRoads’ style. They will sit back, relax and “take time to smell the wines.”

The PR Company, Distinctive Assets, who have been promoting the, “Everyone Wins at the Oscars” consolation swag bags for the past 13 years invited BackRoad Vines to participate.

The swag bags are filled with new, innovative or intriguing high end products that might catch the eye of the recipient and in return get some small business recognition. This year the bags are valued at over $80,000, with BackRoad Vines’ portion coming in at a humbling $569.

Along with the above inclusion, BackRoad Vines was also invited to share their wine at a “gifting suite” a day prior to the Oscars, Saturday Feb. 21 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles.

This is a private red-carpet event honoring the 2015 Academy Awards. This is being hosted by L.A. Marketing firm, Celebrity Connected, whose gifting suites are tied to major entertainment events throughout the year. At this event celebrities, high end retailers and investment gurus come to discover the next big thing or things.
