Speeding Scofflaws Lead To Enforcement On Golden Gate Bridge
More than a dozen citations issued in one hour Wednesday by CHP.

The California Highway Patrol on Wednesday issued more than a dozen speeding citations on the Golden Gate Bridge during an enforcement effort.
The CHP deployed a multiple unit speed enforcement team on the bridge after receiving an increase in complaints of excessive speeding after the recent installation of the movable median barrier.
Officers issued 14 excessive speed citations for speeds as high as 70 mph during the first hour of enforcement, according to the CHP.

The CHP is reminding drivers the speed limit on the Golden Gate Bridge is 45 mph, and reduces to 35 mph and then 25 mph as drivers reach and drive through the bridge toll plaza.
