Stockpile Of Weapons Found In Vehicle; Three Men Arrested
Officials were responding to a "shots fired from a moving vehicle" call when the men were pulled over and arrested for the cache of weapons.
NAPA VALLEY, CA — Three men were arrested in Napa County following reports of shots fired from a vehicle. The men were pulled over and booked after a deputy found a stockpile of assault weapons, officials said Friday.
Shawn Stephen Brumley of Vacaville, Ernest Clark Davis II of Napa and Joseph Pete Perez of Napa were booked on felony charges including possession of assault weapons, possession of machine guns, possession of silencers and discharging firearms in a negligent manner.
The men were pulled over shortly after 8:40 p.m. Thursday after a deputy investigating a report that shots had been fired from a moving vehicle spotted the car around the 2100 block of Atlas Peak Road, said Henry Wofford, spokesman for the Napa County Sheriff's Office.

The deputy spotted an AR-15-style rifle between the legs of the front seat passenger. A search of the car turned up a second AR-15-style rifle - like the first, modified to be fully automatic - three high capacity magazines and ammunition.
A search warrant was obtained for a Napa home where deputies found six more guns, four of them also modified to be fully automatic, Wofford said.
