Thousands Without Power Across North Bay

BREAKING: High winds and multiple wildfires in Napa and Sonoma counties have left thousands of customers without power in the North Bay.

NAPA AND SONOMA COUNTIES, CA – With high winds blowing and multiple wildfires burning in Napa and Sonoma counties, thousands of customers are without power Monday morning in the North Bay.

PG&E officials said about 102,000 customers are without power, with the majority in Napa and Sonoma counties as a result of the fires.

The utility company has received multiple reports of downed power lines in the area, PG&E spokeswoman Andrea Menniti said. Residents are urged to report downed power lines and stay away from them.

Among the power outages in Napa County, as of noon, Pacific Gas & Electric is reporting on its outage map that power outages are affecting 7,661 customers in St. Helena, 1,720 in Calistoga, 526 in Deer Park and 174 in Napa.

Among the power outages in Sonoma County, as of noon, PG&E is reporting that power outages are affecting 9,639 customers in Santa Rosa, 4,621 in Fulton, 1,447 in Kenwood, 673 in Boyes Hot Springs, 557 in Temelec, 395 in Larkfield-Wikiup, 287 in Geyserville, 134 in Sonoma and 36 in Fetters Hot Springs-Agua Caliente.

PG&E is assessing the outages wherever possible. Due to the fires, in some areas, the utility company has been unable to access affected equipment.
