Red Flag Warning, Wind Advisory In Effect For Marin County
Dry vegetation, low humidity, strong winds and warm temperatures have raised the risk of wildfires. (BREAKING)

MARIN COUNTY, CA – With dry vegetation, low humidity, strong winds and warm temperatures raising the risk of wildfires, the National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for several areas of the San Francisco Bay Area, including Marin County.
The red flag warning will be in effect through 5 a.m. Tuesday in the valleys and hills of the East Bay and North Bay and the Santa Cruz Mountains.
"A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly," the National Weather Service said in an advisory. "A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and heat can contribute to extreme fire behavior."
