Auto Burglary Suspect Arrested at Newpark Mall
Newark and Fremont police detectives worked together to solve the crimes.

NEWARK, CA — Newark and Fremont police have arrested a suspected auto burglar.
Jeremy Neist, 45, of Fremont, has been taken into custody.
On Tuesday, Fremont detectives saw Neist commit an auto burglary at Newpark Mall, according to Newark Police. "While attempting to detain the suspect, he resisted officers before being arrested," they report.

From there, Newark and Fremont detectives worked late into the night, ultimately solving several additional burglaries and locating property from other burglaries in the area which was returned to their owners.
"A good collaborative effort by all, and some property returned for the holidays!" Newark Police conclude.
