Facebook In Newark: Company Leases 2 Buildings
The expansion has been announced within the past week.

NEWARK, CA — Fed up with the commute over the Dumbarton Bridge? Facebook is expanding into Newark, the Newark Chamber of Commerce said in a Facebook post on Tuesday. The social media company has leased more than 450,000 square feet in two separate industrial developments that are under construction.
The first is at the Gateway 84 complex, just off Highway 84.

The other is at the Morton Commerce Center, where the old Morton Salt factory was located. That location will be used to cook meals for 14,000 employees at the company’s Menlo Park headquarters.
