NEWARK, CA — A home on the 6200 block of Mayhews Landing Road in Newark was damaged by a fire Monday night, according to the Alameda County Fire Department. No one was injured.
The fire was reported at 8:48 p.m. Flames broke out in a bedroom, seriously damaging that room. The rest of the home sustained smoke and heat damage.
The firedepartment reports that a family of four was displaced by the fire. The family is receiving help from the Red Cross.
