Newark Police Recover Stolen Car; Two More Vehicles Stolen

Police are now looking for a missing truck and a stolen car.

NEWARK, CA — Newark Police has recovered a stolen car, while reporting that two more have been stolen.

On Tuesday, Officer Ryan Johnson spotted an occupied stolen car in a parking lot. The suspect was arrested, and Officer Johnson also found drugs, shaved keys, burglary tools and a large amount of sensitive paperwork used for identity theft in the stolen vehicle.

According to the police department, "Officer Johnson has recovered over 150 stolen cars since 2007."

Unfortunately, he and his fellow officers are looking for two more stolen vehicles. On Wednesday the department reported that a truck and a car had been stolen.

The truck was swiped after the keys were left in it.

The car had been left running on a driveway.

According to the department, "We will keep this one simple. Don't make it easy for criminals to steal your car."
