Gunman Flees On I-880 From Fremont

FREMONT, CA — Fremont Police report a shooting in the area of Stevenson Boulevard and Farwell Drive shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday. The suspect got away on northbound Interstate Highway 880.

Police report that "a witness called 911 and reported hearing shots fired as a subject in a dark colored sedan waived a gun out the window at subjects in a second vehicle."

When police got to the scene of the shooting they found out that both vehicles left in the direction of I-880 and headed north.

Police have not confirmed any injuries. Detectives are trying to learn what led up to the shooting.
