I'll be starting a new blog in Newark Patch and wanted to give a little introduction first.
I'm the co-founder of Spotmojo which is a website that let's you voice the businesses you would like to see in your neighborhood. I've been working with several Patch sites in the East Bay and South Bay in a blog called "What Should Go Here?" The article focuses on vacant retail space and then I ask you what business you would like to see there and that you add your suggestions to Spotmojo.
Spotmojo gives the community a voice in the types of businesses that open in their neighborhood. We provide this information to businesses and commercial property owners. For businesses, this helps them decide where to open by knowing where there customers are. For commercial property owners, it helps them find a tenant the community actually wants.
We just started late last year so right now we're focused on making our product better by listening to our users. We're not charging businesses or commercial property owners for this service yet.
Later this week, I'll feature some vacancies at Balentine Plaza. If you've been there recently you might have noticed our posters on several of the vacant stores.
