
Peggy Goldwater Clay recently joined nonprofit Working Wardrobes in a community relations role. Clay brings more than 40 years of entrepreneurial experience and community involvement in public relations, marketing, sales, product development, customer relations, fundraising, event planning, volunteer management and community relations. She has won numerous business and community accolades including Distinguished Woman of the Year by the Orange County Soroptomists, Woman of the Year by the 70th Assembly District and Assemblywoman Marilyn Brewer, and Woman of Valor by the American Diabetes Association of Orange County. In her role, she will work with the director of social enterprises on outreach and merchandising for Working Wardrobes’ retail operations, primarily The Hanger Boutique in Laguna Niguel. Clay will also help bolster Working Wardrobes’ “Smart Women” program through membership solicitation, fundraising event sponsorship and marketing. Working Wardrobes is a Southern California nonprofit organization that helps empower men, women, veterans and young adults who are overcoming life’s challenges to transform themselves and confidently enter the workforce, by providing career development, job placement assistance, wardrobe and grooming services provided in an environment of dignity and respect.
