Edinger Medical Group Receives "Platinum Right Care Initiative" Award from the California Department of Managed Healthcare

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. – The California Department of Managed Healthcare (DMHC) has awarded Edinger Medical Group the Platinum Right Care Initiative Award for providing the best possible care to lower the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and complications from diabetes. Edinger, which is a medical group partner of Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center in Fountain Valley, is one of only two medical groups in the entire state and the only one in Orange County to have received this designation. In the five years that the Platinum Right Care Initiative Award has been given by California, only five medical groups have received this award; Edinger has now received it twice.

In addition, Edinger was also one of only ten medical groups in California to receive the Excellence in Healthcare Award earlier this year for providing optimal overall care and excellent patient satisfaction. By holding these two prestigious designations, Edinger Medical Group is now the only medical group in California to have received both awards this year.

“We congratulate Edinger Medical Group for earning this outstanding clinical achievement and we are proud to have them as a medical group partner,” says Barry Arbuckle, PhD, President and CEO of the nonprofit MemorialCare Health System. “Their dedication to high quality and compassionate patient care exemplifies why they are highly regarded as one of California’s top medical groups.”
