NEWPORT BEACH, CA — John Wayne Airport was the spot to grant a special Make-A-Wish Foundation day for area children facing medical conditions and upcoming treatments. Kids flew high above the county on a Learjet, had lunch with resident heroes on a memorable day for all.

Working with ACI Jet, Orange County Fire Authority, and John Wayne Airport, the partners gave the VIP treatment to kids struggling with ailments. Families gathered at the airplane hangar to board the International Jet's Learjet "Dream Chaser," in its rainbow-colored glory. They took a memorable flight across Orange County and along the coast of southern California.

Kids were able to visit with the Orange County Fire Authority firefighters at the aircraft hangar, ride on a fire truck, spray the hose and spend time with the bomb-sniffing dogs of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
