This man is ready to find the cure to women's cancers

The Nancy Yeary Women's Cancer Research Foundation appoints Mike Kent as chairman of the board of directors

The Nancy Yeary Women’s Cancer Research Foundation (NYWCRF) announced Mike Kent accepted the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors. He steps into this position upon the passing of previous Chairment Bob Yeary.

A resident of Los Gatos, California, Kent is the owner and chief executive officer of VC Corp and American Equity Management, LLC.

“My road to the Nancy Yeary Women’s Cancer Research Foundation was by way of my 30 year friendship with Bob and Nancy Yeary,” Kent said. “I feel honored and privileged to fill Bob’s position and will bring to the foundation the same energy, optimism and Bob’s vision to find the cure for women’s cancers.”

Kent will celebrate the foundation’s 10th Annual Gala at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Laguna Art Museum, 307 Cliff Drive, Laguna Beach, CA 92651.

More than one hundred patients, donors, physicians, staff and friends have gathered through the decade to celebrate the courageous patients as well as achievements of researchers and oncologists who are working to find better treatments and cures for women’s cancers. The 2013 and 2014 galas have collectively raised more than $260,000 for women’s cancer research.
