No on Y Campaign Walking Neighborhoods
Opponents say the added development will significantly increase traffic on PCH and major intersections.

From a press release:
Newport Votes NO on Y is focusing its outreach efforts on informing Newport Beach residents of the disingenuous Measure Y which alleges that it will reduce traffic in spite of adding well over one million square feet of residential, office and commercial development in Newport Center.
NO on Y campaign members and supporters are walking their own neighborhoods and talking one on one with voters. Opponents to Measure Y are also writing personal letters to their friends and neighbors sharing their concerns about how this added development will significantly increase traffic on PCH and major intersections in our city, especially during the busy morning and afternoon commute hours.

Measure Y opponents feel compelled to take these actions because voters won’t learn anything about these proposed development projects from the ballot measure summary or the city attorney’s so-called “impartial analysis”.
One thing the NO on Y campaign will not do is litter the public’s right of way with campaign signs. Instead the campaign will rely on the outreach efforts of its supporters who are walking their neighborhoods, talking with their neighbors and displaying yard signs on their own property to bring public awareness to the deceptions inherent in Measure Y.
