OCC Drawing Exhibition Opens Aug. 31

Applied Pressure showcases the extraordinary work of the West Coast Drawing Collective, a group of 25 artists whose work spans many styles

Orange Coast College’s Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavilion will host an exhibition titled “Applied Pressure” from August 31 until October 8. The exhibition is part of West Coast Drawing, a cohort of 25 Southern California artists working in drawing media. The group was created in 2003 to showcase the best and brightest in dry mediums, and works range from photorealism to total abstraction.

“Applied Pressure” will be open from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. An artist’s reception is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2 from 5–7:30 p.m., and an artist’s talk is slated from Wednesday, September 30 at 5:30 p.m.
